First Families of the South Bay

Individuals who lived in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County before World War II or their direct descendants, are eligible for membership in the First Families of the South Bay (FFSB). Applicants do not need to live in the South Bay currently, but must prove that they or their ancestor(s) lived in the South Bay area before 4 July 1940 and that they are direct descendants.

Additional categories of membership are envisioned for earlier ancestral residency.

To apply, please fill in this application form. This is a PDF form, so you will need Adobe Reader.

You can print it and fill it in by hand, or you can enter most of the fields within Adobe Reader and print that, adding any extra information by hand. (You may find this useful if you have a lot of information, or have to print more pages.) Note that some web browsers may not be set up to allow you to enter the fields within the browser, and you will need to open it directly in Adobe Reader.

Note that the application signature and date fields must be filled by hand, as digital signatures are not currently supported.
